Kitty Black, Jean Anouilh
This is Anouilh's version of the Orpheus and Eurydice legend. Two lonely people are thrown suddenly together, and they realize immediately that they are eternally in love. The young man, a troubadour, steals his beloved away from the man she has had to live with, and runs off with her to another city. But their love is destined to end in tragedy, in a bus accident and later in the same way Orpheus ended with Eurydice.
