Overview

At a deserted mountain cabin, a wandering minstrel sings a ballad that evokes events 15 years past. The three fur trappers who lived there adopted a boy, the sole survivor of a wagon train attacked by Indians. A missionary couple claim the boy, who is finally won over by the motherly woman. The trappers decided to make the trek west-- to protect them. Finally the balladeer's identity is revealed.
