Overview

Sixteen year old Jennifer, undergoing what her mother calls a period of adjustment, is sent to spend the summer of 1949 with relatives on a Montana ranch. Here she encounters, for the first time, the strange and violent world of men and begins the delicate transition from girlhood to womanhood, from innocence to experience.
