Further Adventures of Tom and Huck

Overview

Years after their boyhood adventures, Tom Sawyer is a wealthy war profiteer in New York, married to a now drunken and slutty Becky Thatcher, with his hopeless half brother Sid running his sausage factory, when Huck Finn shows up. While Tom deserted from the Confederate Army after talking Huck into joining up for the adventures, and went north to get rich selling defective merchandise to the Union forces, Huck remained, suffered a serious head injury, and was interred in a prisoner of war camp. Now terribly down on his luck, he's come to New York, possibly to murder his old friend and sleep with his wife. A funny, dark vision of the loss of possibly imaginary American innocence.
