Overview

In this nervous, fast moving monologue set in the autumn of 1954, Meredith, a troubled young woman, tries to understand why she can't stop doing things she doesn't want to do and saying things she doesn't want to say. She feels as if somebody else is inside her making her behave in ways that often shock and horrify her. In the course of her tortured monologue we gradually come to understand the nature of her prison. This character is also featured in other Nigro plays including Andromeda Chained To Her Rock, Frankenstein and Lemurian Fragments.
