Overview

Hawkins is a professor at a university in Indiana who lives with his troubled daughter Lisa and his second wife Priscilla, who convinces Hawkins to drive to a nearby town and pick up her sister Mary so she can visit them, but the trip home turns into a nightmare involving accusations of rape and murder. Is Mary the victim of a brutal attack, or is she a mentally disturbed compulsive liar? Is Hawkins a rapist and a murderer, or is he the innocent victim of Mary's dementia? A tapestry of lies and betrayal that will keep you asking questions about how we can ever trust other people, or be certain of anything.
