Hawkins is a professor at a university in Indiana who lives with his troubled daughter Lisa and his second wife Priscilla, who convinces Hawkins to drive to a nearby town and pick up her sister Mary so she can visit them, but the trip home turns into a nightmare involving accusations of rape and murder.
