Overview

Babs Bowell has decided life has no discernable pattern or meaning only to turn out from the confines of the stage to find she has an audience watching her life. For the next hour she "accounts" comically and feelingly for the ensuing, amazing events in the life of an "ordinary American housewife." Since Babs is also a character in a play, anything can happen, including a dog who's learned to talk by watching television, a mother whose enthusiasm for life's possibilities must be contained in a closet and a husband lost in the metaphysics of one of his own TV ads.
