Overview

The new import is a farce about a struggling British composer of documentary film scores who discovers that his Mexican divorce from a whacky American girl whom he had married in Samoa is not valid. And just when his English wife is about to have a baby. To further complicate matters, the ex-wife (or so he thought) pops up in her best problem child form. The American screwball has learnd that her uncle left a will whereby her former husband will inherit a million if he begets a son within a year after uncle's death. Otherwise the money reverts to the niece. Well, in a race against time, the composer and his second wife have twins, a daughter and a son, and cop the fortune, thanks to the workings of the international date line. So the harassed father generously splits the million with the ex-wife, who returns to America to marry a Texas rancher. That's all right, because the authors have figured out meanwhile that a joust with the good old international date line had nullified the original marriage.
