Overview
Ann Elliott has no love for the country. Her husband, Walter, is fond of gardens, lawn mowers and such, but Ann prefers to live in the city. Therefore Ann is pleased when the Elliott suburban home burns down. In town she spends most of the insurance money for new gowns and gay times. Then the insurance company, grown suspicious, seeks her arrest as an incendiary. Things look bad for Ann until the fire is charged and proved against another.
