Louis N. Parker
During the French Revolution an aristocratic nobleman and his estranged wife are touchingly reunited as they both await the guillotine. This classic verse play establishes proof of the innate nobility of character in certain French aristocrats who show a type of moral courage rare in any era. Though the play calls for considerable talent, it is so well written and conceived that high school students can produce it effectively. Excellent for tournaments.
