The Jabberwock, a three year colt, who showed badly on trial runs suddenly wins hands down at Windsor and suspicions are aroused of nefarious deeds. Charges and countercharges, shocks and dismay disturb the Jockey Club and some highly respectable people appear to be involved. The shadow of the law hovers darkly, but ingenuity, to put it mildly, routs the forces of disruption.
