Glockenspiel

Overview

Herbert, an American living in Munich, has invited Monika to his room to play tennis, mostly because he likes to see her in her little tennis outfit, but serious problems arise when it becomes clear that he has left his balls in Stuttgart and his racket in Schenectady. And his sexually frustrated landlady, Frau Lowenstein, is banging on the door. Can Monika be persuaded to hide under the bed? Will Herbert show her his glockenspiel? Will Herbert's ventriloquism lead to an exciting career on the carnival circuit? And will he ever find his balls? In this surreal parody of the odd people we come across in German textbooks, we learn the truth about the wind in Bavaria.
