In this very funny monologue, Anna Palestrina, an Italian immigrant woman living in Ohio, explains to her grandson Ben what happened in her remote mountain village in Southern Italy when a government official obsessed with sheep offered to pay villagers to raise them in their very steep mountain terrain. Sad for the sheep, but a great and increasingly hilarious story. A wonderful showcase for a mature actress with a dry sense of humor. See also Nigro's plays Palestrina and Maddalena.
