Overview

Ghost story that tells of one Spanish nobleman who loves, and has children by, a foreigner. Cultural customs will not permit him to marry her without banishment, so he marries another. Desperate and thinking that the nobleman would marry her if they had not had children, she drowns them. He rebukes her, sending her into madness and finally to her death, where she relentlessly haunts him. Her brother attempts to revenge her death by challenging the skilled swordsman to a duel, with a tragic end. One of five short plays that explore Latin American mythology for all ages and races in Spirit of Hispania.
