Chapin Garner
Bartholomew and Cleopas, two of the youngest and least known of Jesus' disciples, stand watch at the edge of the garden of Gethsemane. As disciples argue, and the Roman Guard approaches, these two youths struggle to decide whether they will stand by Jesus's side or flee to safety. After Jesus' crucifixion and death, it is Bartholomew and Cleopas who encounter an intriguingly familiar stranger on the road to Emmaus. In the breaking of the bread, their eyes are opened, and they learn through this stranger that God had use for them whether they stand firm in their faith, or flee for their lives.
