Robert C. Yoh
Beautiful Beulah Belle returns home on a bitter winter's night from one of her habitual errands of mercy to find that the dastardly Lucifer Lowdown demands her hand in marriage if the old homestead is to be saved as a refuge for her family of four more-or-less hopeless females. The combined efforts of sentimental (but wise) Granny and the adenoidal hero, Adonis Adrenalin, save the day -- at the last possible moment, of course. The villainous Lucifer runs for his very life as he is pursued by the man hungry Auntie Anna and the ultra-eager Ulalee Bloomersnap. The play unfolds quickly with pathos and bathos a-plenty, with loads of opportunities for the audience to hiss the villainy and applaud the virtue.
