Overview

A darkly comic exploration of the final days of Peter Kurten - aka the Dusseldorf Ripper - who was executed for murdering men, women and children in pre-war Germany. Wehner, a naive young lawyer, decides to plead insanity for his client but comes to the startling conclusion that he is worryingly sane.
