Overview

Orphaned as a child to be raised by his scientist uncle deep in the Canadian woods, Romeo Montague has never set eyes upon a woman in his over twenty-one years. That is all about to change when two Americans – Larry McNeil and Rex Simons – stumble across him in the woods and invite him to visit them in the States. He arrives to find a house full of women, including Larry’s two outgoing sisters, Connie and Billie, and LaReina, the Spanish maid. Throw in Larry’s expected fiancée, Orpha, the vivacious Aunt Rachel, and a bevy of Amazon furniture repossessors and poor Romeo faces a veritable female overload. However, he handles it all with aplomb and even manages to save Larry’s inheritance, Rex’s smashed car, and the family furniture. As befitting this gentle romantic comedy, the play ends with kisses all around.
